Arsenal are back in familiar territory at the top of the Premier League injury league for the season so far, with Hector Bellerin’s knock making it eight for the campaign in total.

The Gunners have actually fared better than usual in the injury department this season, or at least have coped better without players who have been absent due to their superior squad depth.

Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud have been among the main names missing in action for much of this season, while Alex Iwobi, Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott have also missed the odd game.

Bellerin is Arsenal’s latest victim, ensuring the club return to their rightful place at the top of the injury table, joint with Hull City, according to data from PhysioRoom.

Gooners will be hoping the team’s recent form can be the start of a long-awaited march to Premier League glory, but with the injuries starting to pile up as we head into Arsenal’s bogey-month of November, testing times are clearly ahead.

  2. @David, can u define the word NEVER?. They hv won 13leauges before, United won 20, Liverpool won 18, but the last time they won it last was almost 24yrs ago. It took Chelsea 50yrs before they won the second leagues in 2005, now they hv 5. Sunderland won 7.
Now if u use never, may be arsenal ll not win it in ur lifetime.
Anyway, they talk about injury list here, not top on the League table. Read it again.
