Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has failed to rule out a January loan move for midfielder Cesc Fabregas, simply saying it is too early to make a decision.
The midfielder is being strongly tipped to leave Stamford Bridge with rumours he is keen on a move to a ‘big club’. With his chances under Conte limited, it is suggested the World Cup winner will seek a loan when the transfer window next opens.
When questioned about the situation ahead of his side’s game against Everton on Saturday, Conte insisted he is happy with Fabregas but didn’t rule out the Spaniard departing.
‘I think for this type of situation it is too early to talk. Cesc Fabregas is a Chelsea player and I’m very happy to have him in my squad.’
Fabregas is nearing a return to fitness having been back in training but Conte revealed the former Arsenal player will not be considered this weekend but instead given the international break to lengthen his recovery.
Man United trolled as they go to utterly desperate lengths for goal of the month comp
‘Now is important for him to recover well and find the right form and stay with us and with the team. ‘
Conte added: ‘I’m please for Cesc (that he is nearing a return) because he’s important for us.’
