In a bid to further boost the struggle for the actualisation of Biafra, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign States of Biafra (MASSOB), has said its revolution will start with Igbo leaders in the South-East.
Leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, disclosed this yesterday during the posthumous birthday celebration for Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu at its headquarters, at Okwe in Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to him, it is time to begin to hold Igbo leaders responsible and responsive to so many deprivations and misdeeds against the Igbo nation.
Hepointedoutthatinfrastructural development in the zone is still a major challenge which the leaders have to address.
Madu said: “MASSOB will commence an internal revolution among Igbo leaders, even though we believe that some still have interest in Nigeria, so many things are wrong in the zone. The revolution is not going to be about Buhari or Nigeria for now, but with our leaders who have perpetually shortchanged us.”
He also claimed that the dwindling education in the zone should be blamed on the Federal Government who he said have neglected the sector.
“Educational systems and operations in Igbo land is the worst hit by successive government policies even though Ndigbo are educationally endowed.”
