It seems Antonio Conte is in need of a lie down.
And who could say the Chelsea manager doesn’t deserve it. After back-to-back defeats at the end of September Conte has masterminded a dramatic turnaround in results. The Blues have won their last five Premier League games, not conceded a single goal and find themselves second in the table.
However it seems to have taken its toll on Conte, who appears delighted with the timing of the current international break.
‘It’s important for me to have a bit of rest [in Italy] because my first period at Chelsea was very intensive and it’s important to have a bit of rest and then to be ready to restart,’ he told Chelsea’s official website.

‘The Everton game [which Chelsea won 5-0 on Saturday] is now the past. It’s important to think and be concentrated, and to restart in the right way after the international break.’
