Jurgen Klopp was understandably very satisfied after witnessing his Liverpool side demolish Watford 6-1.
However it wasn’t all good. Or more specifically, it wasn’t good for four minutes.
That was the assessment of the hyper-critical German coach following the win at Anfield that means his side are top of the Premier League heading into the international break.
‘In specific moments a lot (I liked the performance),’ said Klopp.
‘But there were a few other moments I did not enjoy. It was a lot of work even though at the end we made it look like it wasn’t.
‘It was a brilliant performance, I would say for 86 minutes. Then for 4 minutes we weren’t that good.
‘Not because we conceded a goal, that’s not a problem.
‘They were really concentrated, really in the game, tried to do the right thing at the right moment.’
Klopp continued: ‘There was a lot to do today, then we conceded a goal. Not too nice, but that’s normal.
‘We are not useful to being that successful, so in the moments where we are not serious in one or two moments.
‘We gave them a few good balls. That’s not a problem, but then we have to run again and it costs us energy in other situations.’
