NCAA receives 68 passengers’ complaints in three months, Arik tops list

According to reports, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority said it received a total of 68 complaints from domestic and international air passengers in the third quarter of 2016.


This was contained in a document issued by the NCAA’s Consumer Protection Department, which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos.

It said 47 complaints were received from passengers flying international routes, while 21 were received from passengers on domestic routes.

According to the document, Arik Air recorded the highest number of complaints with 14 cases, followed by Royal Air Marco and Turkish Air, which recorded four and three complaints respectively.

It said 37 of such cases were successfully resolved with compensation paid by airlines to the affected passengers during the period under review.

Sam Adurogboye, the General Manager, Public Relations of NCAA, later told NAN that the regulatory agency was committed to protecting the rights of passengers in line with its mandate.
