France boss Didier Deschamps has delivered a fresh snub to Manchester United striker Anthony Martial by calling up debutant Thomas Lemar following Kingsley Coman’s injury.
The United forward, 20, was dropped from France’s latest squad for Olivier Giroud, who has barely featured for Arsenal this term.
Martial made Deschamps’ 23-man squad for Euro 2016 but barely featured as Les Bleus lost in the final to Portugal.
The young Frenchman is capable of playing as a striker and as a winger, making him a useful member of any squad.
However, following injury to Bayern Munich ace Coman, Deschamps decided to overlook Martial again for Monaco central midfielder Thomas Lemar.
The 20-year-old is uncapped for France and has five goals in 14 appearance for Monaco this term.
