Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has spoken out for the first time since picking up an injury while away with Chile.
Sanchez was initially understood to have suffered a calf problem while on international duty but the Chilean FA then confirmed that the 27-year-old had in fact sustained a hamstring strain.
Chile travel to face Colombia on Thursday evening and the Gunners forward has already been ruled out of the crucial World Cup qualifier.
‘Come on, Chile…Success and strength companions, I wish you the best for today,’ Sanchez wrote to his followers on Twitter.
‘Sad for not being able to play, but sometimes things happen for something in life.
‘I trust and support the management.’
