AC Milan are reportedly lining up a move for Leicester City winger and former Arsenal transfer target Riyad Mahrez this January.
The Algeria international has not quite been at his best so far this season, with the Foxes suffering something of a hangover from their shock Premier League title win back in May.
Still, Mahrez remains an in-demand talent after his scintillating individual displays saw him crowned PFA Player of the Year.
According to Calciomercato, Milan are keen on the 25-year-old as they seek to strengthen their attacking options, particularly out wide, after an inconsistent start to the season.
Mahrez only recently signed a new contract at the King Power Stadium, and it seems unlikely that he’d leave Leicester in the middle of the season with Champions League football still on offer.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal remain interested in the player, though their strong start to the season, inspired by improved performances from the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi, suggests they may not be desperate for new attacking players at the moment.
