Jose Mourinho is preparing an astonishing raid on Atletico Madrid as he looks to boost his Manchester United squad, reports say.
The Portuguese tactician has seen his new side struggle at the start of the 2016/17 season and he is desperate to bring new recruits in.
Mourinho is a long-term admirer of Antoine Griezmann and Jose Gimenez and he has now added Yannick Carrasco to his shortlist, according to The Mirror.
The 23-year-old was watched by Mourinho during Belgium’s 1-1 draw with Holland, where he scored for his country.
And he impressed sufficiently to convince Mourinho of his ability.
United would have to spend a fortune to land the trio, with Griezmann priced at £80million.
Both Giminez and Carrasco would cost in excess of £20m but United have proven they are willing to spend to fix their current problems.
