Chief Olusola Oke the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in Ondo State, has refuted his rumored arrest by the military.
He explained that the news of his arrest was the doing of his political detractors, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party in the state in an effort to tarnish his image.
Oke was allegedly arrested in Okitipupa, Okipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on Friday, by the men of the Nigerian Army over illegal possession of dangerous weapons to cause violence in the riverine area.
Speaking through his media aide, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi, the AD candidate said he was not arrested at any time by either the military of any other law enforcement agent.
He noted that he had since his formal declaration for the post of the governor of the state been moving round all parts of the state to solicit for support of the masses.
