Where's Willian? Chelsea fans confused as player of the year left out

Chelsea fans have asked what the problem is with star player Willian after the Brazilian missed out on the squad to face Middlesbrough.

The 28-year-old was on compassionate leave after the death of his mother before the international break, but has already returned to action with the Blues, and his national team during the last week.

Willian came on in the 82nd minute of Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Peru on Wednesday, and it is possible that manager Antonio Conte thinks he isn’t ready after flying back so recently.

The winger wasn’t on the substitutes’ bench or in the starting XI as the Blues look to continue their five game winning streak.

Chelsea have named an unchanged side to face Aitor Karanka and co, after beating Everton 5-0 last time out.

Even though they have been in brilliant form with this side, the Blues supporters are still asking where their best performer from the last campaign is after seeing the team…
