It has emerged that Atletico Madrid midfielder, Koke, called Cristiano Ronaldo “a faggot” during the Madrid Derby last weekend.
Real Madrid hammered Atletico 3-0 at the Vicente Calderon, with Ronaldo scoring all three goals.
In the heat of frustration, Koke resorted that to name-calling, as he locked heads with the Portugal captain, according to radio station, Cadena Ser.
Koke generally had a poor game, having started alongside Gabi in central midfield.
There has been a lot of talk, about how open Atletico are when both players start in the middle. Most of the success enjoyed by Diego Simeone’s team, has been with Gabi in the centre of the park and Koke providing width along with Saul Niguez from the flanks of a narrow midfield four.
Real currently lead La Liga with 30 points, while Atletico are sixth with 21 points.
