Jose Mourinho has mocked Arsene Wenger once again after claiming that the Arsenal manager has failed to build a title-winning team in 14 years.

The Gunners boss last won the Premier League in 2004, although he has guided his side to success in the FA Cup on three occasions since then.

Before Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Saturday, Mourinho hit out at Wenger by claiming that the Arsenal manager unfairly gets more respect than him.

‘I said yesterday at the press conference. The Arsenal manager hasn’t won a championship in 14 years. I haven’t won a championship in 18 months,’ Mourinho told ESPN Brasil.

‘He, in 14 years, failed to build a team to be champion. I’ve been here for four months. And the demand is only for me and not for others.’

  2. Morinho doesn’t have sense. He always talk about his achievement, but never talk of how much he spent to get it. Wenger refused to buy big, due to construction of Emirates stadium in other to save money for the club, that was why he can’t compete with major trophies. The greatest achievement as a coach is that stadium. In the history, nobody ever built stadium without going to relegation, but arsenal did it even qualified to Champions League every year. Morinho ll soon get sacked at M.United very soon, he can’t escape it. Arsenal fc like Wenger, tah was why they keep him for 20yrs.

    • Mourinho is not the only coach that spends to win trophies. Remember Wenger is a coach and not the club’s accountant or finance director or board members who should worry about spending money…his duty is to coach the team, strengthen the team and motivate the team to win laurels. I have been a die hard Arsenal fan now for 18 years, watched in pains how every year the useless board and so called coach promises us we have money to spend only for the useless coach at the end of transfer season will buy one strange player & then claim there were no top notch players in the market…please where did Mourinho, Ancelotti, Guardiola, Fergunson et al get their quality players from… the moon?

  3. Mourinho is always taking a jibe at Wenger because there is something of value in the old man which Mourinho covets. Is Wenger the only Manager without Premier league silver for a decade?. Why not take swipe at Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton. Etc. For sure there is something Mourinho wants that Wenger has. Period.

MOU wants Arsenal job but he cannot have it. He should be told that it is not for him to say when Wenger is a success or not because he does not pay Wenger’s salaries. He should face his job. He did not say anything when Man U drew their last two matches at old Trafford but now he drew with Arsenal, he termed it as a loss. He will definitely loose his position there
