Midway through the first half against West Ham in the Premier League, Pogba theatrically threw himself to the ground despite there being zero contact from Mark Noble, who the nearest player to the Manchester United midfielder.

Referee Jonathan Moss was not fooled by the blatant simulation and immediately pulled his yellow card from his pocket to show to the world’s most expensive player.

It means Pogba will miss the midweek tie against West Ham having collected five bookings this season.

To make matters worse, Jose Mourinho reacted furiously to the decision, kicked a water bottle on the touchline and was sent to the stands by Moss.
