Oyedepo prophesies harsher economic challenges for Nigeria

Dr. David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has warned Nigerians to expect harsher economic challenges  therefore, urging them to draw closer to God, if they wanted to survive the impending tough times.

Oyedepo said this while speaking during the opening session of the annual Shiloh programme of his church in Ota, Ogun State on Tuesday.

“It looks tough presently but it’s going to get tougher in the days to come. Obedience to the terms of covenant will put you in total command. When all your obedience is fulfilled, all opposition is brought down,” he said.

“However, from scriptures, all the children of the covenant, who walk according to biblical truth will always enjoy exemptions from the gross darkness and evils plaguing the world.”

The opening session of the programme was attended by over 2,000 delegates from 41 countries, according to a statement from the church.

  1. What are you prophesied for? Are you God the almighty? The judgement of Almighty God will befall on you people who claimed to be man of God or pastor and so call prophet.

  2. We are in recession, our religious leaders who shouldn’t get involved in politics in the first place, not only failed to encourage followers to follow basic financial management rules in this harsh economic period but continued prophesy doom and asked us to pray, so recession will just go away

The holy book itself says “For lack of knowledge, my people perish”

  3. It will not come to pass because God is not wicked; and if I may ask what have u done as a man of God to avert this coming hunger ? How many people have u build? Or are just busy buying private jet, estate and landed properties, still asking ur university how many poor people are there ,these questions and more requires an answers my dear bishop.
