Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been offered an astonishing £26m-a-year deal by Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune to quit the Emirates.
The 27-year-old is currently locked in contract negotiations with the Gunners and has 18 months to run on his existing deal in north London.
Arsene Wenger’s side are unwilling to break their pay structure to keep Sanchez with the Chilean determined to earn a deal that puts him alongside the Premier League’s top earners.
Hebei China Fortune boss, Manuel Pellegrini, remains a huge fan of Sanchez and has told the former Barcelona forward a place is waiting for him at the club.
‘If Alexis wants to come, we have a club for him right now. He can come to join us in China immediately,’ said Pellegrini.
According to the Sun, the club are willing to make Sanchez the best paid player in the world by offering him an eye-watering £500,000-a-week deal.
That would equate to a sizeable £26m-a-year, meaning he’d earn around £16m a year in the far-east than he would at the Emirates.
