Petr Cech makes unwanted history thanks to Arsenal's leaky defence

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has gone eight Premier League matches without a clean sheet for the first time after the Gunners’ defeat against Manchester City.

Theo Walcott put Arsene Wenger’s men ahead at the Etihad before Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling completed a remarkable turnaround in the second half.

Cech holds the Premier League record for clean sheets, keeping an astonishing 182 during his 12 years at Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, never before has the Czech Republic stopper gone eight matches without shutting his opponents out and today’s clash at the Etihad means the wait goes on.
