Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he could keep playing until he turns fifty.
The 35-year-old has been in fine form for the Red Devils this season, scoring 11 goals in 16 Premier League appearances while the team haven’t always been playing at their best.
Despite his advancing years, the former Sweden international thinks that he could actually improve on this – claiming that he is improving with age like red wine!
‘I feel happy, I feel good. Even if I’m 35, in my mind I’m 20. I think I could play also at 50, but it won’t be down to me,’ the forward told the Daily Mirror.
‘The older I get, the better I get, like red wine! You like red wine? I’m a perfect example of that. The older I get, the better I play.’
He added: ‘I’ve played in different championships, in different countries, and you need to adapt your body to the game and the way it’s played here.’
United are up against Sunderland on Boxing Day next, and the mercurial striker will be hoping to continue his recent goal scoring form against the Black Cats.
