Buchi Emecheta dies at 72

January 25, 2017, foremost Nigeria novelist died in her London resident at the age of 72. She was author of the widely read The Joys of Motherhood and Second Class Citizen which was like her memoir on her first trip to England during the 1960s.

Late Buchi Emecheta was among the early Nigeria writers who wrote about the civil war. She wrote a novel, The Slave Girl in relation to Late Achebe’s novel, Girls at War. She was the author many novels and collection of short stories. She was the mother of Africa Feminism.

Late Buchi had received many literary award in the Diaspora. According to Prof, Nnedi Okorafor  who is American-Nigeria science Fiction and speculative fiction said late Sis Buchi was the reason why she started writing.

Friends and families of the late Literary Icon have been paying their last respects since her eternal passage last night.
