Branislav Ivanovic will reportedly decide on Monday if he wants to accept Zenit St Petersburg’s offer.
The Chelsea veteran has been told by Antonio Conte he is free to leave this January and is on the verge of signing a three-and-half year deal with the Russian side.
Ivanovic has been at Chelsea since 2008 and has been a key figure at Stamford Bridge as they have won multiple Premier League titles and finally secured a Champions League trophy in 2012.
The Serbia international, however, is still not 100 per cent sure he wants to leave the club and will make a decision with time left to make a deadline day move.
The Daily Mail claim the switch to Zenit is in place as they await Ivanovic’s final decision.
Ivanovic has made just six league starts this season as he has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea under Conte.
Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 forced Ivanovic out of the side and the 32-year-old has been unable to reclaim his spot.
Chelsea are top of the table and after recalling Nathan Ake from Bournemouth, Ivanovic is worried he may see even less game time between now and the end of the season.
