Chelsea could still blow the Premier League title, according to Graeme Souness, however it would require Antonio Conte’s side to suffer a ‘catastrophic’ dip in form.
And that would only happen if they lost more than one key player to injury.
The Blues are currently 10 points clear at the top of the table and with just 10 games of the season remaining it appears inevitable they will win the title.
Former Liverpool manager Souness outlined the only way he can see that failing to happen.
‘Chelsea will be champions unless they have a collective, catastrophic dip in form,’ he wrote in his column for The Times.
‘If Eden Hazard or Diego Costa is out, they would still have enough. If both were out at the same time, it might be touch and go. Barring that, they are home and dry.
‘They showed again at Stoke that they can win playing all types of football and that is why they will be champions. They were not at their best, but were never going to lose the game and nicked it at the end.’
