Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Santi Cazorla will not play again this season.
The 32-year-old has not featured for Arsenal since October after suffering an ankle injury in the Champions League win over Ludogorets.
The date of Cazorla’s comeback has been put back continuously this season, but now Wenger admits the Spaniard’s campaign is over.
Arsenal have sorely missed Cazorla in the middle of the park as they look to secure a top-four finish.
The injury–plagued midfielder also missed much of last season through a knee injury, and that followed an impressive 2014-15 campaign which helped deliver the FA Cup to the Emirates.
