Investigate Senator Adeleke’s death – FFK charges FG

Femi Fani-Kayode, Former Minister of Aviation, has called on the Federal Government to look into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke, a former governor of Osun State, died yesterday after a reported heart attack.

The 62-year-old politician was said to have been rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Youths in Osun state have alleged that he was poisoned by his political enemies at a political meeting in the state on Saturday, April 22nd.

An autopsy is being carried out to determine cause of death.

Meanwhile his burial has been fixed for Monday in Ede his hometown in accordance with Islamic rites.

Fani-Kayode wrote on his twitter handle, @realFFK, “Sen. Isiaka Adeleke passing is tragic. It is a blow to us all.

I call on the FG to investigate the circumstance of his death.”



  1. What are the peculiar circumstances of his death that the Federal govt should leave important security and economic issues,to investigate. FKK should have known that PMB govt is a very serious and focused govt that should not waste Nigeria’s time and resources to probe how every Nigerian died.
