How gunmen Amputates Herdsman’s Hand in Southern Kaduna

Unknown gunmen have attacked and amputated the left hand of a Fulani herdsman in Southern Kaduna.

Kaduna State Chairman of Meyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Haruna Usman Tugga, who disclosed this at a news conference on Friday, said the attack was a setback to peace and tranquillity in the area.

Tuga, who gave the name of the amputee as Abubakar Muhammed, said that the victim was migrating from Panda village in Nassarawa State to Kachia, in Southern Kaduna, when the gunmen attacked him.

“To be specific, Abubakar Muhammed who was migrating from Panda, Karu Local Government Area of Nassarawa State to Ladduga in Kachia Local Government Area was attacked by youths from Maho village in Mazuga district.

“They attacked him along a migratory stock route for reasons best known to the attackers and amputated his left hand and left him bleeding in pool of his blood.

“He was picked by a good Samaritan to a private hospital in Kachia town where he is presently receiving medical attention,” Tuga revealed.

He condemned the act, describing it as barbaric and called on his members to be calm and law abiding.

Tuga called on security agencies to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to justice.
