Eden Hazard has assured Chelsea fans he is on the mend after suffering a serious ankle injury on international duty.
The Belgian international came through the entire club season unscathed before picking up the injury in the final weeks of the campaign.
Hazard is set to miss the start of the season due to a fracture in his ankle, leaving Chelsea without their most influential player for the beginning of their Premier League title defence.
The attacker took to Twitter to update Chelsea fans and show off his new haircut.
Chelsea will be eager to have Hazard back as soon as possible, but have a fight on their hands to keep the winger this summer.
Zinedine Zidane is believed to have placed Hazard at the very top of his transfer wishlist.
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to spend a world-record fee on Hazard, but have yet to make any concrete approach.
Chelsea will resist all moves for Hazard with the 26-year-old the driving force of the Blues.
Hazard fired Chelsea to the title after suffering a dismal 2015/16 season in which the London side finished tenth.
Chelsea are confident they can resist offers and Hazard has never said he wants to leave Stamford Bridge.
In fact, Hazard has repeatedly insisted he is happy at the club.
‘Hopefully next year it is the same, we win the league and then I win player of the year,’ Hazard told the club website.
‘Obviously winning the league is what we want most and the award is just a bonus.
‘We started this season well and we won the league, but next year we have to work as hard as we have this season.
‘We have to be ready every year at the same level to stay at the top.
‘I’ve been here for five years now and I’m so happy. I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, so I’m very happy to play for such a big club like this.
‘After five years I know everything about the club. Even if I’m still only 26, I have a lot of experience now.
‘I started playing at 16 in France so I’ve been professional for ten years. In terms of games and experience, I’m one of the oldest ones. I like this club because it’s like a family. I have a lot of friends and we all talk to each other.’
