Ogun Secondary School Student Rewarded For Returning Lost Cash, ATM Cards

Students in Ogun State have been advised to emulate a senior secondary school two student of Muslim High School, Sagamu, Miss Samson Omolabake, who returned a purse containing N18,000 and the ATM cards belonging to a customer of the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) at Isale Oko, Sagamu last May 19.

Ogun state chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), who gave the advice at an event organized to honour her, at her school premises, said the girl has made the teachers in the state proud.

The group head corporate affairs of FCMB, Mr. Diran Olojo, presented a dummy cheque of N200,000 to the girl, saying the student represents a promising future for the country.

ASUSS chairman advised parents of the student to judiciously use the financial gifts given to her for education, saying that as such money is not meant for frivolities or jamboree.

He promised that the union will celebrate the student during the 2017 World Teachers Day celebration.

At the event were the South West zonal director of the bank, Mr Babatunde Onadeko, the state zonal education officers, the school’s principal, Mr Oyenuga David, and Mr Sofowora, the mother of the girl, Mrs Samson and the executives and members of the state ASUSS.
