Alhaji Kasimu Yero, veteran Northern actor is said to have died today, sunday at his house in Kaduna after a protracted illness .
His son, Masur Yero confirmed the death to correspondents.
He was was however buried in Magajin Gari, Zaria in Kaduna sate at 2pm according to Islamic rites.
Our correspondent reports that it was a dark Sunday for many, especially the Hausa Film Industry as he was described as an equivalent to Hollywood’s Clark Gable.
Kasimu Yero was a famous Nigerian actor who made his name playing iconic characters, mainly villains, in TV series or films.
