Thousands storm Ado Ekiti as Fayemi declares governorship ambition

A mammoth crowd gathered in Ado Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state, on Saturday when Kayode Fayemi, minister of mines and steel, declared for July 14 governorship election in the state.

Addressing his supporters, Fayemi who led the state between 2010 and 2014, said he had some “unfinished business” at the Ekiti government house.

He also vowed to prosecute Ayodele Fayose, the incumbent governor, for allegedly mismanaging the resources of the state.

  1. Fayemi is a fraud star, the most gullible man I have ever seen. The crowd that gathered wanted to collect their own share of what he has stollen.

  2. If only this crowd will translate to vote. If Foyose won while you were in power it will be an uphill task to win when incumbency is in his favour.
