Taking to social media, Reno Omokri also touched on people enjoying Church entertainment at the expense of being enlightened.

“Sadly, many people are entertained in churches but they think they are being enlightened. It breaks my heart to say it, but it seems the lives being transformed are the preachers’. Jesus fed the poor, but many of today’s poor feed their preachers. How can pastors live in opulent luxury while congregants live in excruciating poverty? Shepherds exist to care for sheep, not to be cared for by sheep. Jesus gave one instruction to Peter, His successor: “feed My sheep”. He didn’t say ‘be fed by My sheep’! Feed them physically and spiritually.”

  1. It’s because the poor refused bluntly to to see beyond their noses and free themselves from obvious religious slavery, even in this modern world
Unfortunately this sad trend is prevalent in the developing world where mass poverty makes it easier for all sorts of self serving pastors, alfas and witchdoctors to control the mind of the gullible
